It is said that Howlite is the stone of memory, knowledge and progress, and is claimed to encourage reasoning, observation, discernment, and patience. Howlite is a stone of awareness and helps to get rid of stress and anxiety. It is an attractive stone like Turquoise, often accompanying with grey to black streaks in an erratic, intriguing web-like pattern.

We dedicated our collection of white Howlite stone after the forest nymph Callisto from Greek mythology. Callisto means "most beautiful", and it was said that she was part of a group of maidens who accompany Artemis (the goddess of hunting and moon) and was lusted by Zeus (the god of all gods). And Callisto's story inspired the constellation of Ursa Major and her son Arcas, the Ursa Minor.
