METAPHYSICS PROPERTIES:
Turquoise, highly regarded by the ancients for its unique and striking colour. Valued in both the ancient Persian as well as Native American civilisation. It is a stone of protection, and often being used to cleanse negative energy. Some also believe turquoise supports intuition and helps to connect the mind to the infinite possibilities of the Universe.
It is a wonderful companion to use when removing and releasing old and decay behaviour that no longer serves in growth. In other meanings, it is a symbol of generosity, sincerity and affection. We dedicated all of our Turquoise to Calypso, a sea nymph who is the daughter of Atlas. She was probably most commonly known from Homer's Odyssey. Although not a major deity being worshipped by the ancients, her determination to fight for her love, to sacrificing herself and her own feelings at the end because it is the right thing to do has not gone unnoticed.

The Turquoise we have sought in this collection is generally opaque, with light-yellow to brown vein and the overall colour is light blue.
Our collection of Turquoise is dedicated to Calypso - a sea nymph who was powerful with spells and enchantment according to Homer’s Odyssey. Calypso’s name has a meaning “to cover”, “to conceal”, and “to hide”. In general, Calypso perhaps served as an archetype of women who fell in love with the passing sailor, and had to rise beyond desires and dreams as it is becoming clear that the men they fall for are never going to stay, and there she would eventually learn of letting go.
